Hey guys this company is located in Adelaide…. they manufacture solar panels which they claim to have 30% efficiency …. just have a look… good opportunity if anybody wants to do business in it as they are looking for franchisees

Interestingly, they seem to be offering to sell electricity directly to consumers from their own “Suncube solar farms”. The website is a bit low on detail though.
Their claim of grid parity is very impressive; that is what major industry players are now working towards. The high efficiency is because they are using concentrating panels (magnifying) and triple junction cells (3J); the same technology being use in space which is supposed to be very expensive. Standard silicon solar cells only have one electric field junction (P-N junction).
Standard off-the-shelf silicon solar cells are 15%-16% efficient; with the exception of the leaders SunPower (back contact cell) 20% eff and Sanyo (heterojunction cell) 21% eff.
It would be interesting to know what the Green & Gold Energy panels cost and $/Watt.
